Life Sciences Energy Upgrades (Phase I)

In 2023, control valves were upgraded and the chiller pipe was reconfigured to perform subsequent heat recovery projects.

Steam was leaking by in some of the old valves. By December 2023, you can already see the reduction in steam usage thanks to the newly installed valves.

While we do not have a direct measure of emissions reductions from this project, we will continue to monitor the building’s steam and chilled water usage and make additional upgrades.
